Registration fee:

35 LTL (10 EUR) for students and 70 LTL (20 EUR) for other participants. It includes book of abstracts, participation in all sessions and conference events (coffee breaks, conference welcome party and excursion).

The registration fee does not include accommodation costs!

Accommodation costs:

Approximately 30 LTL per day per person (KTU hotel "Politechnika"). (Payment after arriving.)

Abstracts and proceedings:

The book of Abstracts in printed version will be distributed during the Conference-School.

The participants, wishing to give oral or poster presentations, are kindly asked to submit the abstract (up to 1200 characters) in electronic version.

The text will not be edited.

The lecturers are kindly asked to deliver materials of the lecture (electronic version) to the Organizing Committee during the registration. The materials of oral presentations will be published on CD and will be sent after the conference to all the participants.

 Important dates:

  • May 6, 2008 deadline for the registration and abstracts;

  • May 31, 2008 payment of the registration fee and deposit of one day accommodation (for Hotel "Žilvinas" or "Politechnika");

  • June 17, 2008 final announcement ( including a programme);

  • August 27, 2008 beginning of the Conference - School.

PALANGA


Palanga is an international seacoast resort for active recreation and rehabilitation treatment also offering a wide range of entertainments. It became a famous resort in early XX century and presently is one of the largest resorts and tourism centres of Lithuania. As a recreation place, it has already operated for a century and a half. People come here to escape their daily urbanized routines and gain strength from natural resources: the sun, sea water and fresh pine-forests' air. There also are many things to see in Palanga: from the wonderful white sand beaches and variety of remarkable landscapes to Museum of Amber, Botanical Gardens, Birute‘s hill and Church of Saint Marie. It is also a fine plane to have a great night out with your friends in one of the bars and nightclubs, of which the town now has plenty.

Palanga has its own small airport with the international flights from the United Kingdom, Ireland,  Norway and Denmark.
